Message for Messengers
THE LORD IS IN YOUR MIDST
“The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, He hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more” (Zephaniah 3:15).
OUR EVERLASTING GUIDE
“For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death” (Psalm 48:14).
The above verse portrays God as our Everlasting Guide. He is the great God. The name ‘God’ occurs eight times in this Psalm. It refers to a new beginning.
THE LORD IS MY DEFENDER
“And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-Nissi” (Exodus 17:15).
The LORD will become your defender if you remain faithful and close to God. Has it ever been that every one around you is against you? Dread not! When you face insurmountable problems, you need not defend yourself.
MARVELLOUS WORKS OF GOD
“Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you” (Habakkuk 1:5).
The LORD will lead you and grant you His peace this year. He will place His sovereign greatness in your weakness and fill with wisdom.
LIFE BEFORE THE LORD
“I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved” (Psalm 16:8).
To set the LORD always before us does not mean to literally keep or place an image or picture before us. It is to think about Him always and give Him priority.
HOLD FAST YOUR CROWN
“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” (Revelation 3:11)
This was the message given to the minister of the Church at Philadelphia. This Church was one of the two commendable Churches among the seven Churches.
REASONS FOR SHUT-IN EXPERIENCES
“A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed” (Song of Solomon 4:12).
Shut in experience is an experience where you feel that you are completely shut out from the world, cut off from the people, severed from every possible relationship and from all ties.
INHERITANCE OF THE MEEK
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5)
The word ‘meek’ is connected with the shepherd and the sheep. The Hebrew meaning of the word “meek” is “Anav” which means “watch constantly.” Usually Israeli shepherds say, “My sheep are meek because they look to me for direction” .
WHY BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE
“I know that Thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholden from Thee” (Job 42:2).
Job, at the end of all his troubles and difficulties, discovered a marvellous truth in his life, that it was God alone who led him through.
BLESSED OPENINGS
“….. For the angel of the Lord descended from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it” (Matthew 28:2).
