Truth for Youth
“Keep thyself pure” (I Timothy 5:22)
“Keep thyself pure” (I Timothy 5:22)
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.” (Jude 24).
However much a dove may grovel in the filth and mire of the Earth, it is never contaminated.
Starting where you are – From the belly of the fish!
“I will make up to you for the years that swarming locust has eaten….” (Joel 2:25).
One of the most encouraging things about new years, new weeks and new days is the word new. Friend Webster reveals its meaning: ‘refreshed, different from one of the same that has existed previously.’
“We are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11).
It is important to know the devices of our enemy, the Devil, otherwise he is likely to take advantage of us. A Missionary in Africa says that there are three beasts that lie in wait for their prey: the lion, the leopard and the hyena.
Truth for Youth
“How precious also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God how great is the sum of them ” (Psalm 139:17).
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end”(Jeremiah 29:11).
BETTER THAN SACRIFICE TRANSPARENCY IN MARRIAGE
“Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over His people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman.
HEWN OUT OF THE ROCK!
“… Look to the rock from which you were hewn and to the quarry from which you were dug” (Isaiah 51:1).
The prophet Isaiah mentions the words above that sounds much more noble and respectable than its literal meaning. The word quarry actually refers to “A hole” in the Hebrew text.
Is that all … is that all there is……?
Most of us ask the haunting question in the backwash of certain situations- Is that all… is that all there is…..? When our spirits are high, we are flooded with optimism, hope and pleasant expectations. But when low, with our jagged barnacles of disappointment and discouragement exposed, we entertain feelings of raw disillusionment.
Be an Encourager!
To illustrate this point, when did you last encourage someone else? An individual is never more Christ-like than when full of compassion for those who are down, needy, discouraged or forgotten. How terribly essential is your commitment to encouragement!
PRIORITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Young people should know how to set priorities in their lives. Things that are more important should capture their attention. Spending their time wisely is the best way that brings the most dramatic change in their lives.
HEARKEN, O YOUNG MAN AND YOUNG WOMAN HEARKEN UNTO THIS.
1. You are the best handicraft of God formed in His image, “So remember the Creator in your youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).
You have been created in this world to reflect His divine nature. He did not create you as a bird, an animal or a plant. “For God shall bring every work”
